Ignition Interlock Industry Overview

The goal of this workshop is to equip monitoring authorities and correction professionals with an overview of the Ignition Interlock process in the State of Minnesota, Intoxalock and our products, while also review current legislation in the state.
- Attendees will gain a better understanding of the functionality of an IID and the services Intoxalock Ignition Interlock offers to clients nationwide
- Attendees will receive an introductory overview of ignition interlock reporting capabilities
- Attendees will gain a better understanding of new and emerging Ignition Interlock Legislation in Minnesota
This presentation will help monitoring authorities and corrections professionals gain a better understanding of the Ignition Interlock process in the state of Minnesota. Our team of experts will walk attendees through the interlock process, by providing information relating to the overall customer experience throughout their requirement. On the other side of the coin, we will examine ignition interlock device reporting and what monitors experience while monitoring a client who has a device installed. Additionally, we’ll review current and emerging legislation impacting the industry, more specifically, Minnesota’s House File 63, which was enacted on June 30th, 2021.
Juvenio Palma is the Midwest Business Development Manager. Juvenio has been with Intoxalock for over 12 years and is considered a SME. Through his time with the company Juvenio has managed monitoring programs across the entire nation. He also holds a certification from the Borkenstein Alcohol and Highway Safety Testing, Research and Litigation Course, University of Indiana and a Business Degree from Iowa State University.
Tracy Pettyjohn is entering her 16th year with Intoxalock. Tracy was instrumental in starting up a very successful sales team that assisted customers with setting up their IID. After several years she moved to the Compliance Team where she managed the reporting to multiple states. She is now a State Liaison which involves direct contact with state leaders, probation officer and judges. Tracy also provides testimony as requested representing Intoxalock.
Erika Eckley is the Vice-President of Legislative Affairs at Intoxalock. Prior to joining Intoxalock she was Vice-President of Government Relations and Assistant General Counsel with the Iowa Hospital Association. Ms. Eckley received a J.D. from Drake Law School in 2006 and an M.P.A. from Iowa State University in 2003. She has worked in private practice primarily in insurance defense litigation and at Iowa State University at the Center for Agricultural Law and Taxation. She currently lives just outside Des Moines, Iowa with her husband and nephew.
