Griffin, MA, LMFT and Alex Bunger, M.S, the Sex Offenders Online workshop will discuss various ways sex offenders use the Internet. Participants will be updated on cutting edge technologies used to access sex online and introduced to the most recent theories behind sex offenders online. Emphasis will be on introducing participants to the concepts of the Internet and technology necessary for proper monitoring, assessment and treatment of sex offenders online. The most current research and thinking related to child pornography and risk will also be presented. Additionally, participants will receive an introductory education in various software corrections agencies can utilize to monitor offender activity on-line. Teen Sexting What the heck is sexting? Teens and technology have thrown adults another curve ball, this time via cell phones. In this presentation, Karen Determan, Brian Stoll and Brian "Abe" Abrahamson from Wright County Court Services will share their knowledge of sexting,a term used to describe the transmission of nude and semi-nude photos via cell phones. Karen and Abe will share a power point presentation developed to help educate communities about sexting, as well as information on how Wright County has responded to this issue.
